#2 Deseret Industries is Within Walking Distance.

The other day  I needed new jeans really really badly. So I went to D.I.

And I kind of went overboard. I ended up buying two pairs of jeans, a plain white layering t-shirt, an adorable floral print tank to go on top of said t-shirt,  brown heels for church, a purse, a coin purse for laundry quarters, and a copy of my favorite C.S. Lewis book, The Screwtape Letters.

The cost? $21.73, right around what I would have paid for ONE pair of jeans at Wal-Mart.

D.I. may just be the biggest blessing my wallet could ever experience.
(after tithing, of course).

  1. DI is an amazing blessing! Funny thing, though. . . watch carefully what you donate, because you could get it back! My son wanted to get rid of an old PE t-shirt that happened to have his name on it. One week later, the youth in our ward did a service project at DI sorting through the donations. My son's friend found the shirt, bought, and gave it to my son for a Eagle Scout congratulations gift! We laughed so hard it hurt!
